Privacy policy

This Policy sets out how Sole Proprietor Aleksei Vladimirovich Kabetov (the “Operator”) processes the personal data of users of the website deskone.ru and of the DeskOne computer software (the “Program”), in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27.07.2006 “On Personal Data”.

1. Personal data operator

2. What data we collect

2.1. Data provided by the User:

  • e-mail address — for account registration, delivery of the license key and communication with the User;
  • password — stored as an irreversible hash; the Operator has no access to the plain-text password;
  • first and last name / company name — when placing an order as a legal entity or sole proprietor;
  • computer code (HWID) — to bind the license key to the device;
  • order data — order contents, price, payment method and status.

2.2. Data collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type and version, operating system — when visiting the Website;
  • a technical device identifier (fingerprint) and the account — these form the Program’s connection number; the number itself contains no personal data in plain form and is used only so that one of the User’s devices can find another;
  • cookies — see section 8.

3. Data processing while the Program is running

3.1. DeskOne establishes a direct (P2P) connection between two of the User’s devices to transmit the screen video stream and input events (mouse, keyboard). Video and input are transmitted in encrypted form (end-to-end encryption using the Noise protocol) and are not stored or processed by the Operator — the Operator has no technical access to the content of a remote access session.

3.2. The Operator’s small signaling server is used only to let the User’s devices find each other and agree on the parameters of a direct connection (exchange of service data to set up a session). If a direct connection cannot be established (for example, due to network conditions), a fallback relay server (TURN) is used; traffic passing through it remains end-to-end encrypted, and the relay operator cannot read its content.

3.3. Thus, unlike local programs that work fully offline, DeskOne by its nature interacts with the network to establish connections between devices; the Operator does not store or view the content of remote access sessions.

4. Diagnostic logs

4.1. With the User’s consent (a separate setting “Send us connection diagnostics”, off by default), the Program may send a technical extract from the connection log to the Operator’s server to diagnose failures and dropped connections.

4.2. Before sending, the following are automatically removed from the log or masked: passwords and one-time codes, the sender’s e-mail and IP address, the full connection number (only the first and last digits are kept), the Windows account name, and the contents of the clipboard and transferred files.

4.3. Submitted logs are stored for a limited period and used only to fix technical issues.

5. Purposes of processing

  • registration and maintenance of the User’s account;
  • placing and fulfilling orders, issuing license keys;
  • operating the signaling server and establishing connections between the User’s devices;
  • technical support and failure diagnostics;
  • informing about order status and responding to requests.

6. Legal grounds

Processing is carried out on the basis of the User’s consent (Article 9 of Law 152-FZ), for the performance of a contract (the public offer) to which the User is a party, and to fulfil obligations imposed on the Operator by law (including accounting and tax law).

7. Transfer of data to third parties

7.1. To process payments, the Operator transfers the necessary minimum of data (order amount, order identifier) to the payment aggregator ROBOKASSA LLC — the User enters bank card details directly on the side of the payment aggregator or bank; the Operator does not receive or store them.

7.2. The Website’s hosting provider and the e-mail service that sends messages with license keys may technically process data (for example, message contents) to the extent necessary to provide their services to the Operator.

7.3. The Operator does not sell personal data or transfer it to third parties for purposes other than those set out in this Policy, except as expressly provided by the laws of the Russian Federation.

8. Cookies

8.1. The Website uses technically necessary cookies (for the cart, sign-in and saved settings), which are set without separate consent as they are required for the Website to function.

8.2. When analytics or statistics services are used, the corresponding cookies are set only after the User’s consent is obtained via a banner on the Website.

9. Retention periods

  • account and license data — until the User deletes the account or withdraws consent;
  • order and payment data — at least 5 years, as required by accounting law;
  • the register of issued license keys — indefinitely, to be able to confirm the user’s right to the Program;
  • support correspondence — up to 3 years;
  • server technical logs and diagnostic logs — up to 12 months.

10. User rights

Under Article 14 of Law 152-FZ, the User may obtain information about the processing of their personal data, demand that it be corrected, blocked or destroyed, and withdraw consent to processing by writing to support@deskone.ru. The User may also file a complaint with Roskomnadzor (the Russian data protection authority).

11. Data protection measures

The Operator applies organizational and technical measures to protect personal data: data transfer over HTTPS/TLS, storing passwords as irreversible hashes, restricted access to data, backups, and end-to-end encryption of remote access sessions.

12. Minors

The Website and the Program are not intended for persons under 18. The Operator does not knowingly collect data from minors.

13. Changes to this Policy

The Operator may amend this Policy. The current version is always available on the Website.
